袁鵬偉

袁鵬偉，50歲。ALS發病迄今約9年。生病前負責國際貿易，走過35個國家。生病後秉持【活在當下】好好過活每一天。98年參加遠距電腦教學，學習美工繪圖，開始繪畫人生。由於無法言語，我除已成功開發LED溝通板外，並與其他研究團隊成員，進行雲端照護研發，建構一個有利於提升漸凍人生活品質的資源網，進而達到【溝通無障礙˙人人買的起】的夢想。 有人常問︰「為什麼總把BLOG弄得美美的？」 這是一種「儀式」，告別、懷念也可以是一種美學，或許孩子看到BLOG，會敲響心的美學，這是讓離去的親人永遠留在心中的美學。

Introduction：

Yuan Peng Wei, born in Feb 1963, has been diagnosed with ALS nearly nine years ago. Peng Wei had been a successful businessman and travelled across 35 countries all around the world. Illness has taught Peng Wei to live in the moment and enjoy everyday. Peng Wei’s disease made him unable to talk. He did, however, make the LED communication board to help those who suffer from communication problems. His dream is to help ALS families regain the joy and dignity of life.

Year of 2011
2011 was a great year for Peng Wei and his family; Peng-Wei had busy schedules as usual, engaged in drawing pictures, writing stories, attending contests and winning lots of big prizes!

1. His poems won second place in Phoenix Sister Cities International Competition. You can see the poem and photos in his blog.

3. He participated in a co-authored book and got to know more friends during the writing courses.

4. His paintings were chosen and exhibited in Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall in Oct and Dec.

Year of 2012

1. Peng Wei has the idea to open an online store for ALS patients where they can show their creativity and share life stories to publics via their works. His proposal is approved and funded by 50^th anniversary project team of Taiwan Stock Exchange. In Feb 2012, the on-line story store is open and selling products made by the disabled. Run by ASL association, this store is not only selling products (silk scarf, mark cups, etc.) but also the brave stories and life experience around us.

2. Peng Wei is actively running blogs to share thoughts and feelings, to exchange ideas and get/provide warm supportive comment.

3. He is also going to publish a book this year funded by National Culture and Arts Foundation.

We're really proud of Peng-Wei and all the great things he has done. It's really amazing that he can achieve any goal he sets his mind to. It seems almost nothing is impossible to him.
